This textbook, in particular, discusses suitable components for limiting global temperature increase to 1.50o C by 2050, including renewable energy via windpower and photovoltaic plants, hydro and geothermal power, and energy-storage devices such as fuel cells, batteries, and hydrogen (electrolysis, methanation) to fuel automobiles and airplanes. Ammonia is a flexible fuel for ships, has an energy density by volume ~30% higher than hydrogen, and is safer to handle.
