ECEN 3010 - Circuits and Electronics for Mechanical Engineers


Catalog Data ECEN 3010 (3). Circuits and Electronics for Mechanical Engineers. Covers analysis of electrical circuits by use of Ohm's law, network reduction, node and loop analysis, Thevenin's and Norton's theorems, DC and AC signals, transient response of simple circuits, transfer functions, basic diode and transistor circuits, and operational amplifiers. Includes introductory digital electronics and microprocessors/microcontrollers. Restricted to junior/senior MCEN majors.
Credits and Design 3 credit hours: 2 hours of lecture, 2 hours of hardware lab per week.
No credit for EEEN/ECEN majors.
Prerequisite(s) PHYS 1140, Experimental Physics
APPM 2360, Linear Algegra and Differential Equations
