The workshop technical program has about 90 papers, including presentations, and interactive poster and demo sessions, with ample opportunities to discuss the latest advances in control and modeling of power electronics. Red Lion Restaurant

Dinner at the Red Lion Restaurant

The workshop banquet will be held Tuesday evening at the Red Lion Restaurant. Originally built and established in 1870 and nestled in the mountain canyons outside of Boulder, CO, the Red Lion offers a unique and pleasant atmosphere for our evening dinner and social. We will begin with an outdoor reception where attendees can enjoy appetizers and drinks along the creek-side pathways, and conclude with a banquet dinner. The restaurant specializes in wild game and offers selections of beef, chicken and fish. Guests of all ages are welcome for an additional banquet fee.

Boulder Pearl Street Mall

After the end of the technical program on Wednesday, we invite attendees to take a local HOP bus (5-10 min ride), or walk along the Boulder Creek, Pearl Street Mall for an informal social event: stroll up and down the Pearl Street, stop by some of the numerous shops, restaurants, coffee shops, bookstores. We will meet Wednesday 6:30-7pm in the Tesla Motors show room to check out Tesla Roadsters and to announce COMPEL 2010 Best Paper Awards.

NREL Wind Technology Center

Optional tour of the NREL National Wind Technology Center and the Distributed Energy Resources Test Facility

An optional tour of the National Renewable Energy Lab (NREL) National Wind Technology Center (NWTC), and the Distributed Energy Resource Test Facility (DERTF) is on Thursday morning. For attendees who selected this optional tour during registration bus transportation (about 15 min drive) will be provided from the University of Colorado campus to to the NWTC/DERTF. Since NWTC and DERTF are research facilities closed to public, the tour is open only for the participants who signed up in advance. The bus will leave campus at 8:30am and will return to campus by noon.
