The Workshop will be held on the campus of the University of Colorado in Boulder. Boulder hosts a wide range of high-tech industry and several national labs (NIST, NCAR, NOAA), while National Renewable Energy Lab (NREL) is less than 20 miles away. Recreational opportunities abound, including state and national mountain parks.

The Workshop program will include a banquet dinner at the Red Lion restaurant (Tuesday evening), an informal social event in the Boulder downtown Pearl Street Mall (Wednesday afternoon after the end of the technical program), and an optional tour of the NREL National Wind Technology Center and the Distributed Energy Resource Test Facility on Thursday morning. Since these research facilities are closed to public, the tour is available only to the participants who signed up for the tour in advance during registration.
