RESEARCH
UWB, multi-mode, multi-band, reconfigurable, small, nano antennas; infinite and finite arrays; numerical electromagnetics; finite element method; applied electromagnetics; biomedical telemetry; artificial materials; MEMS modeling

Multi-functional Antennas: Developed a number of narrow/multi/broadband conformal antennas for automotive applications (AMPS/DAB/GPS/PCS/SDARS/Bluetooth) including multi-band/broadband CP slot spirals and the new concept of combo antenna.

Broadband Antennas: Realized several broadband, conformal, slot spiral antennas for UHF-S band and VHF-S band airborne sensors, including standard and variable growth Archimedean and exponential, zig-zag, meanderline, etc.

Antenna Arrays: Developed a multi-resolution FE-BI method for the analysis of large antenna arrays. Utilized Ewald's transform to accelerate infinite periodic Green's function and derived the PBC's for multi-resolution tetrahedral finite elements.

Fast Integral Methods: Involved in the implementation and testing of AIM in a tetrahedral FE-BI method. Studied speed-up / memory savings for slot and printed antennas.

Scattering from Jet Engines: Involved in the development of a MoM based method for jet engine RCS computations.
