Grade weighting

• Homework 20%
  Midterm Tests 50%
  Final Exam 30%

Homework

• Homework assignments will generally be given about once per week, and will be due at the start of lecture on the day listed on the course website. The homework problems and due dates will be announced in class and posted when assigned, and solutions will be posted online after the assignments are turned in. Working with other students on the assigned problems is permitted, but you must turn in your own assignment. Please note that late homework will not be accepted, however, your lowest homework score of the semester will be dropped.

Midterm Tests

• There will be two midterm tests given during the semester. These will be administered in the classroom, and will take the full class period. Students registered for ECEN 5021 will take exams having different and/or additional content than those registered for ECEN 4021.

Final Exam

• The final exam will be given in the classroom on Tuesday December 18^th, 2011 from 7:30 PM-10:00 PM. This exam will include new course material covered since the prior midterm and will further include a cumulative portion. The final exam for students registered for ECEN 5021 will have different and/or additional content than that taken by students registered for ECEN 4021.
