Here are the instruction on how to create an account on ECE lab computers. These instructions are relevant mainly for completely new CU students. If you have done any previous work in ECE labs, you most likely already have an account open and do not need to follow the instructions below. In any case, do not ask your ECEN4827/5827 instructor for help with opening a computer account or logging onto lab computers - these questions should be directed to the ECE computer support, see http://eces.colorado.edu
1. Logging in to the ECE undergrad lab Windows computers requires an account on the
Unix computer eces.colorado.edu. A great deal of info about eces is available here:
http://eces.colorado.edu
2. EE and ECE students (undergrad majors and graduate students) who do not already have an account can create one at any time using the
CU PLUS system. Directions here:
http://eces.colorado.edu/pluscreate.html
3. Non EE and ECE students with access to PLUS can create an account once they are registered for an ECE
course that requires access to the lab. Directions are still here:
http://eces.colorado.edu/pluscreate.html
4. Anyone with access to PLUS can use it to change their eces passwords at any time. Directions here:
http://eces.colorado.edu/pluspass.html
5. Those without PLUS access should follow these directions for changing their password (current password must be known):
http://eces.colorado.edu/unixpass.html
6. Finally, anyone using the ECE Undergrad Labs and/or eces.colorado.edu should be familiar with the policies governing its use:
