Project Exposition and Final Report
The final projects will be demonstrated in the ECE Expo on Thursday morning, May 1. The Expo will be run as follows:
- The Tuesday afternoon section will demonstrate their projects at 9:00 - 10:30 am. The Wednesday and Thursday afternoon sections will demonstrate their projects at 10:30 - 12:00. If you must also show another project in the ECE Capstone lab, you may make arrangements by speaking with both course instructors.
- If your project is intended to be powered by the PV cart, then you should demonstrate your project in the courtyard outside. If your project is powered by the ac line, then you should demonstrate your project in the lab.
- Each group should prepare a posterboard to be used in explaining your project to Expo attendees. This posterboard should include the project title, names of all group members, a high-level statement of the functionality and objectives of the converter system, a block diagram/schematic, and some measured results. Easels will be available for outside demonstrations.
- Each project will be demonstrated to the course instructors. All members of the group must be present at that time. During this demonstration, those projects that are intended to be powered by the output of another group's project should instead be powered by a bench power supply, so that the performance is not dependent on functionality of another group's project. Upon conclusion of these demonstrations, we will attempt to connect projects together on PV carts outside.
The project final report should follow the format of other experiment reports. The final report is due by 3:00 pm on Friday May 2. You may turn in your report to either Prof. Erickson or Prof. Maksimovic, in their third-floor offices.
