Importing the design from the Place & Route Tool

This tutorial will show you how to import your design from First Encounter to a Cadence layout

To import into your analog library

1. Make sure the top cell name you specified in when creating the P&R files matches the name in your library
2. In the main cadence window select File => Import => Stream
3. Under options set: Retain reference library (no merge) : yes
4. Fill in the window so it looks like the picture bellow but with the values for your design, click Ok you should 0 errors and possibly a few warnings



5. Go to layout view of your cell to confirm correct read-in
6. Note also that the I/O may be mixed in an inconvenient manner. Repeating the layout with specified I/O placement (instead of auto) may be needed. See the tutorial Specifying I/O placement
7. Preform a DRC and LVS check to verify that ever thing is correct
