Predefined types

• INTEGER : signed integer

• REAL : real

• NATURAL : positive integer or null (suppressed in SDL92, replaced by a SYNTYPE of Integer)

• CHARACTER : 1 character

• CHARSTRING : charstring (string of characters)

• BOOLEAN : boolean

• TIME : absolute time (formatted as a REAL)

• DURATION : duration (formatted as a REAL)

• PID : to identify a process instance
