Bandwidth Dimensioning for Data Traffic Timothy X Brown Proc. of IWANNT3, Erlbaum, Hillsdale, NJ, 1997, pp. 88-96. Abstract: This paper presents a method that decides what bandwidth is needed to carry a particular combination of data traffic so that quality of service (QoS) constraints will be met. The method builds on earlier results using the internal models generated by neural network based access controllers and describes how these models may be interpolated to solve the dimensioning problem. The method is applied to ethernet traffic data.
