Teaching Interests:: Compiler construction; Programming language principles; Programming methodology; Computer architecture; Operating system principles.

Course material:

Compiler construction (three different strategies for teaching compiler construction, with example courses and supplementary material)
Code optimization (lectures given in Darmstadt in the summer of 1997)
Program for maintaining class grades and standings (allows posting on the web without violating FERPA guidelines)

Research Interests:

Automation of compiler construction; Support for design in domain-specific programming environments and provision of effective tutorial material for such environments.

Instructional Tools for Reflection and Interaction in Programming (with Amer Diwan and Michele Jackson)
IFIP Working Conference on Domain Specific Languages (DSL WC)
